sustainability

At E3 XPS we understand the importance of sustainability, something that has been a challenge in the trade show industry for a very long time. Not only do we focus on our own green initiatives, but we also work closely with partner vendors who do the same.

One of the key things we do to reduce our impact on the environment is to provide our clients with the option to rent exhibits. Renting an exhibit makes use of existing hardware and crates, rather than having to produce everything new. That includes storing client graphics between shows at no charge, which cuts down on waste and/or extra shipping to send them back to clients after the show.  We reuse all packing materials that arrive at our facility as packing materials for outbound shipments, thus reducing the amount of material we must purchase as new, as well as reducing the amount of material going into landfills. We engage in recycling processes internally, as well as with our manufactures related to both hardware and graphics. Our facility also uses motion-sensing LED lights for 90 percent of our lighting needs.

With the majority of our manufacturing taking place at our partner facilities, we also evaluate sustainability as a part of our selection of partners.

Partner selection has always started with quality and the ability to deliver, as we want to provide our clients with innovative solutions that bring value and reliability. But we also understand the importance of sustainability, and we have chosen to work with partners who maintain a focus on their environmental impact.

Key initiatives of our manufacturing partners include:

• Waste-less and reusable packaging

• Sustainability managers focused on eco-friendly practices

• Circular product design (durable materials, reusable components, longer lifespan)

• Sustainable supply chains (like E3 XPS, our vendors ensure that their partners are also engaging in sustainable practices)

• Use of modular exhibit components designed to last, designed to be reused, and designed to be recycled

• Use of modular exhibit components to be more efficient in packing and transportation

• Use of aluminum anodization, which keeps the oils excreted from raw aluminum at bay, thus reducing byproduct waste in the use of gloves, soaps, and water

• Use of sustainable forestry

• Recycling of paper, plastic, metals, fabric graphics, and electronics

• Use of soy-based inks vs petroleum-based inks (safer for employees and the environment)

• Use of carbonless paper

• Pallet recycling

• Printhead recycling

• ISO 14001:2015 – certification for environmental management that minimizes the impact of the environment in the design and manufacture of trade show displays and accessories
